    Georgia Law is pleased to share that the Law School Fund, the school’s largest single source of scholarship dollars, reached a new milestone this past fiscal year. For the year 2013-14, more than $955,000 was contributed by alumni and friends. Besides supporting scholarships, this fund enhances every Georgia Law student’s experience by supporting a wide-range of programming and events.

    Georgia Law is pleased to announce that Patrick D. Conner (J.D.'98) and Susannah P. Mroz have joined its faculty as legal research and writing instructors who will also teach document drafting. Additionally, Laura E. Woodson (J.D.’90) now serves as an associate director in the Career Development Office, where she will provide career counseling and guidance to Georgia Law students and alumni.

    The UGA Alumni Association recently announced the 40 Under 40 Class of 2014. Chosen from a pool of approximately 400 graduates, selections were based on a commitment to a lifelong relationship with UGA and the person's impact in business, leadership, community, artistic, research, educational and/or philanthropic endeavors. Georgia Law alumni included are David W. Adams (J.D.'02), Lisa Taylor (J.D.'01), Ryan Teague (J.D.'03) and Shannon Wallace (J.D.'02).

    Georgia Athletic Association Professor David E. Shipley was named an ex-officio voting trustee of the University of Georgia Foundation.

    Georgia Law was recognized as 10th in the nation for the number of its employed 2012 graduates working at judicial clerkships with federal judges in a U.S. News & World Report ranking.
