UGA MyID and Email Address

 

UGA MyID

When you applied to the University of Georgia School of Law, you should have received an email from the Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS) department.  The body of the email contained important information regarding your UGA MyID.
 
Please contact the UGA EITS Help Desk at 706-542-3106 if you did not receive this email. They will confirm the email address in use and the new email they send will have a time limit.

Subject: UGA Account Information-Please Keep

Dear $GivenName$:

As an applicant to the University of Georgia, you have been assigned a UGA MyID. The assignment of a MyID does not imply, indicate or assume that an offer of admission will be extended to you.  It is important to save this email because you will need information from this email in the future.

A MyID is assigned to all applicants, regardless of admissions status, in order to access a limited number of UGA services.

MyIDs are the user's initials plus five random digits (example: abc12345).

Your MyID is: $ugaMyID$

To select your password for your MyID, visit the following one-time use link, which expires in 15 days:

https://myidprofile.uga.edu/passwordReset/initial

You will need to enter your MyID on the website, so keep it handy. Remember, the link above is a one-time use link, so only visit this link when you have time to complete the process that will take you about 10 minutes. You will be asked to complete your MyID profile by setting up your password, providing security question and answer pairs, as well as setting up your password reset preferences.

If you are accepted to the University of Georgia, your MyID username will remain the same for the duration of your enrollment at UGA. If you want to change your MyID password, visit https://myidprofile.uga.edu. If you forget your password, visit https://myidprofile.uga.edu/reset.

UGA Email Address

Once you have paid your Second Seat Deposit to the University of Georgia School of Law, you should receive an email from EITS department. The body of the email contains important information regarding the use of your UGA email address.
 
Please send your UGA email address to Brandi Saunders, Enrollment Management Specialist, at bsaundrs@uga.edu in order to continue to receive official communications from the School of Law.

Subject: UGAMail Account and ArchPass Information-Please Keep

Dear $GivenName$,

This email contains information about UGAMail, which is the University-provided email service only available to current students, faculty and staff. It also contains information about enrolling devices in ArchPass, UGA’s two-step login solution, powered by Duo. You will use ArchPass for many UGA services, including accessing email, registering for classes, submitting online assignments and more.

UGAMail
Be aware: Check your UGAMail regularly. All official email from the University will be sent to your UGAMail address.

Your UGAMail email address is: $Mail$ This is the email address that people will see and that you may distribute. You may change your email address at https://myid.uga.edu.

Your UGAMail username to log in is <<<MyID>>@uga.edu. Your UGAMail password is your MyID password. If you do not know your MyID or your MyID password, consult the email you were sent when you were offered admission, titled “UGA Account Information — Please Keep.”

ArchPass
You will also need to enroll a device in ArchPass, UGA’s two-step login solution, powered by Duo. You will use ArchPass to access your email and other UGA systems including those used for class registration, online assignments, virtual computer labs and more.

You can enroll a smartphone, cell phone, landline phone or tablet at archpass.uga.edu. You can also enroll a device the first time you log in to UGAMail. We recommend you enroll multiple devices in case your primary device is lost or stolen.

You can find instructions for enrolling devices at archpass.uga.edu.

To log in to UGAMail:

1) Visit ugamail.uga.edu
2) Type in your MyID followed by “@uga.edu”
3) Type in your MyID password
4) If you have not enrolled a device in ArchPass, powered by Duo, you will be prompted to do so. If you have enrolled a device, you will be asked to verify your ID with a push notification from the Duo Mobile app, Duo Mobile app, a text message or a phone call to your Duo-enrolled phone or tablet.

After you graduate or leave UGA, EITS will disable your MyID and UGAMail address, and you will lose access to all services connected to them.
