Biographical Information

W. Matthew Dodge is a lifelong public defender. He has worked at the Federal Defender Program in Atlanta for 19 years, and he began his career as a trial attorney at the Fulton County Public Defender’s Office in Atlanta and the Metropolitan Public Defender in Portland, Oregon. At the Federal Defender Program, Dodge tried cases for many years, but now represents clients exclusively on post-conviction motions, including federal and state habeas petitions, and appeals to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his law degree from Duke University.
