Biographical Information: 

James M. McGee is senior vice president and deputy general counsel at Turner Broadcasting System in Atlanta, where he heads the business and legal affairs teams supporting the Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang television networks as well as Program Acquisitions and Content Commercialization across Turner’s entertainment networks. He oversees matters pertaining to the production of original content, licensed acquisitions, outbound licensing and the exploitation of content on various digital platforms.

Prior to his work at Turner, McGee was an associate attorney in the Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions group at King & Spalding in Atlanta.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and his J.D. cum laude from the University of Georgia, where he served as the executive notes editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law.
