Each academic year, the Office of Student Professional Development recruits attorney volunteers from public interest and government organizations to visit the law school and re-create the typical public sector interview experience:  "table talk" or walk up interviews.

In these interviews, students are not pre-selected, and while the interviews can take place one-on-one, they are generally in an open job fair setting (instead of private interview rooms).  Public sector employers guage the students' interest by their willingness to engage in conversation and by their preparedness.

The mock interviews simulate the table talk experience inasmuch as possible, with volunteers seated at tables while students circulate to discuss the organizations, their work, and potential upcoming and future opportunities.

Students are given the opportunity to attend interview preparation workshops and Public Interest Career Information sessions prior to mock table talk simulations.

Announcements for the scheduling of Pubic Interest Career and interview workshops and mock table talk events are sent via e-mail and are posted to student and Symplicity events calendars.
