Pope F. Brock Professorship in Professional Responsibility -

The purpose of the Fund is to provide a salary supplement sufficient for the School of Law to attract and retain a professor of the highest competence and distinction. 

The selection, appointment or removal of the holder of the Brock Professorship shall be the responsibility and prerogative of the School of Law, subject to the following minimum qualifications for such selection and appointments:

  • the candidate shall hold a juris doctor or more advanced degree from a recognized accredited law school;
  • the candidate shall be a full professor; and
  • the candidate's primary research and teaching interests must be in the field of ethics or professional responsibility.

It is the intention of the donors that professors will not be rotated to occupy this professorship.

Any residual income generated by the Fund that is not needed to support a named chairholder may be used to support law student scholarships.
