First Amendment Clinic Support Fund - 

The purpose of the Fund is to provide support for the First Amendment Clinic at the School.

The Dean of the School shall determine support for the following items based on the Fund's spendable resources:

• A director with a profile and research interest consistent with the purposes of the Clinic and the specifications described below:
     Demonstrated deep expertise in U.S. constitutional law; 
     In residence on a full-time basis during his or her directorship term;
     Law graduate with practice experience and background in constitutional law;
     Compensation commensurate with comparable faculty at the School (currently $90,000 - $120,000); and
     Capable of management of the Clinic, including supervision of fellow and law student participants.
• A fellow with a profile and research interest consistent with the purposes of the Clinic and the specifications described below:
     Demonstrated deep expertise in U.S. constitutional law;
     In residence on a full-time basis during his or her fellowship term;
     Law graduate with practice experience and background in constitutional law;
     Compensation commensurate with comparable fellows at the School (currently $38,000 - $55,000); and
     Capable of supporting day-to-day management of the Clinic by the director, including supervision of law student participants.

• Any other related expenses deemed appropriate by Dean of the School, including, but not limited to, scholarships and summer fellowships, provided that no such related expenses shall be spent and/or committed if the result of same would prevent the support of the director and the fellow.
