Are you interested in learning more about criminal justice? Do you want to observe court proceedings in Athens? Do you want to do so on your own time? If so, Join ACS for an info session on January 22 at noon. We will hear from Court Watch, a citizens' advocacy group that works to witness, record, publicize, and ultimately affect how justice is dispensed in Athens courts.
We will learn about the organization and operation of our local courts, some of the challenges to providing fair and equal justice to all our fellow citizens, and how we can advance the cause of criminal and racial justice through participation in the Court Watch program in various ways as our schedules permit.
