Distinguished Research Professor & Shackelford Distinguished Professor in Taxation Law Emeritus Walter Hellerstein was featured in the Savannah Morning News regarding state ballot measures on taxation. The article titled “What to know about this year’s ballot measures on tax courts, property exemptions” was written by Maya Homan and published 10/18/24. The article was republished by other media outlets.

Hosch Professor & Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor Lori A. Ringhand was featured in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution regarding the need for public trust in election outcomes. The article titled "Challenging Georgia elections is harder than in 2020 – but some may try" was written by Mark Niesse and David Wickert and was published 10/18/24.

Clinical Assistant Professor & Criminal Defense Practicum Director Elizabeth Taxel was featured on Law360 regarding the limitations of attorney-client privilege. The article titled "Narrow Ga. Ruling on Atty-Client Privilege Draws Concerns” was written by Emily Johnson and published 10/18/24.

Assistant Professor Adam D. Orford presented “The Oil Pollution Act of 1924: A Centennial Reassessment” as part of the “Environmental history, legal history, and environmental law – two transdisciplinary conversations” panel at the Fourth World Congress of Environmental History titled “Transitions, Transformations and Transdisciplinarity: Histories Beyond History” hosted by the University of Oulu in Finland.

Stembler Family Distinguished Professor in Business Law Christopher M. Bruner presented “A Political Economy of Corporate Sustainability Reform in the United States” at the University of Oslo Faculty of Law in October. The online event was organized by Oslo’s Sustainability Law research group.
