Post Professor Pamela Foohey and her co-authored 2023 Virginia Law Review article “Silencing Litigation Through Bankruptcy” were featured on Law360 regarding the use of bankruptcy proceedings in sexual assault cases. The article titled “For These Victims, Death Came Before Bankruptcy Resolution” was written by Daniel Connolly and published 2/7/25.

Brumby Distinguished Professor in First Amendment Law Sonja R. West was featured in Vanity Fair regarding the willingness of media companies to settle lawsuits. The article titled “Media Giants Settling With Donald Trump Are Setting a ‘Dangerous’ Precedent” was written by Paul Farhi and published 2/7/25.

Post Professor Pamela Foohey published “The Periphery of Bankruptcy Law: The Importance of Non-Bankruptcy Issues in Consumer Bankruptcy” in 98 American Bankruptcy Law Journal 527 (2024).

Assistant Professor Thomas E. Kadri has been elected as chair of the Association of American Law Schools Section on Torts and Compensation Systems for 2025.

UGA Associate Provost & Kirbo Chair Elizabeth Weeks will serve on the Executive Committee of the Association of American Law Schools Section on Torts and Compensation Systems. She was previously elected as the chair of the section.
