Stembler Family Distinguished Professor in Business Law Christopher M. The School of Law recently bestowed the Distinguished Service Scroll Award, the Law School Association’s highest honor, on former School of Law Dean Peter B. “Bo” Rutledge and 1989 graduate Yvette K. Daniels for their outstanding dedication and service to the legal profession and the law school. Additionally, Carson M. Alexander was presented with the Young Alumni/Alumnae of Excellence Award.
The Land Conservation Clinic recently visited a 223-acre property protected by a conservation easement to learn about the landowner’s innovative efforts to protect the site and enhance biodiversity. The site, which features an important tributary to the Oconee River, gave students an opportunity to observe the impact of a conservation easement.

The Appellate Litigation Clinic recently argued Bilal v. Benoit before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Third-year students Robert A. "Bobby" Bellen and Natalya D. Moody presented the case. Third-year students Anna E. Gowen, Caleb Z. Morris and Anderson B. Scott helped them prepare the argument.
