This prestigious list reflects the best scholarly titles reviewed by Choice during the previous calendar year. The book also received a Pritchett Award last year.

Assistant Professor Assaf Harpaz presented “Global Tax Wars in the Digital Era” at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Tax Law Forum during December.

Assistant Professor Thomas E. Kadri has been selected as a Visiting Fellow at the Law Department of the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. As part of this fellowship, he will continue and expand upon his research in the legal and technical regulation of AI-generated “deepfakes” with a focus on European approaches to regulation.

Clinical Associate Professor & First Amendment Clinic Director Clare R. Norins published “Stitch Incoming: Lindke v. Freed’s Impact on Social-Media Blocking Litigation” in 82 Washington and Lee Law Review Online 172 (2024) (with M. Bailey).

Congratulations to recent graduate Jacob Friedman (J.D.’23) for being selected as an E. Barrett Prettyman Fellow. The fellowship program, facilitated by Georgetown Law, is a two-year post-graduate fellowship that offers rigorous training in criminal trial advocacy while fellows also supervise clinics that provide representation to those accused of crimes. Only three law graduates per year receive this honor.

Clinical Associate Professor & Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation Clinic Director Emma M. Hetherington was selected as Georgia’s state coordinator for the National Association of Counsel for Children. She will serve a two-year term helping to lead outreach efforts and provide localized support to growing networks of child welfare practitioners.
