Woodruff Chair in International Law and Faculty Co-Director of the Dean Rusk International Law Center Diane Marie Amann published "International Decisions: Legal Consequences of the Separation of the Chagos Archipelago from Mauritius in 1965" in 113 American Journal of International Law 784 (2019).
Associate Dean for Clinical Programs and Experiential Learning & Mediation Clinic Director Eleanor Crosby Lanier published "Understanding the Gap Between Law and Practice: Barriers and Alternatives to Tailoring Adult Guardianship Orders" in 155 Buffalo Public Interest Law Journal 36 (2019). The article was written with the support of a Borchard Foundation on Law and Aging Research Grant.
Distinguished Research Professor & Shackelford Distinguished Professor in Taxation Law Emeritus Walter Hellerstein published "Reflections on the Cross-Border Tax Challenges of the Digital Economy" in 96 Tax Notes International 671 (2019) (also published in 94 Tax Notes State 615 (2019)).
Dean Peter B. "Bo" Rutledge, third-year student Katherine M. Larsen and second-year student Miles S. Porter published "Lawyers Should Keep Their Eyes on Cuba Sanctions Cases" in the Daily Report on 11/26/19.
Woodruff Chair in International Law and Faculty Co-Director of the Dean Rusk International Law Center Diane Marie Amann's lecture "Child Rights, Conflict, and International Criminal Justice" has been published in the United Nations Audiovisual Library of International Law as part of its commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. In her lecture, Amann discusses the particular harms that children endure in armed conflict and similar violence, and traces the developments in child rights that led to adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. She also discusses parallel developments in international humanitarian law and international criminal law before closing by evaluating efforts to ensure the rights of the child by preventing and punishing international crimes against and affecting children.
