Associate Professor Tim Samples presented “Terms of Use Agreements and Social Platforms” at the "Algorithmic and Technological Modes of In-/Exclusion: International Legal Method and Critique" and "In/Ex-clusiveness through the Lens of International Business and Human Rights" workshops and "Investment Law’s Transparency Gap" as part of the “In/ex-cluding Civil Society in Investment Law-making and Arbitration" workshop at the 17th Annual Conference of the European Society of International Law: In/Ex-clusiveness of International Law.
Distinguished Research Professor & Shackelford Distinguished Professor in Taxation Law Emeritus Walter Hellerstein’s treatise State Taxation (3d ed., 2022) was quoted by the Oregon Tax Court in Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Co. v. Department of Revenue (Aug. 23, 2022) regarding states’ jurisdiction to tax out-of-state companies based on the in-state activities of independent contractors.
Associate Professor Jonathan Peters was featured on NPR.org regarding relevant fault standards. The article titled "Fox producer's warning against Jeanine Pirro surfaces in Dominion defamation suit" was written by David Folkenflik and published 9/6/22.
Clinical Assistant Professor & Prosecutorial Justice Program Director Melissa D. Redmon was featured on Vice News regarding a Stand Your Ground case in South Georgia. The article titled "Black Man Who Claimed Self-Defense in Killing of White Teen Convicted of Manslaughter" was written by Trone Dowd and published 8/31/22.
Clinical Assistant Professor & Prosecutorial Justice Program Director Melissa D. Redmon was featured in The Washington Post regarding the latest legal developments relating to the grand jury investigating the 2020 election. The article titled "Judge delays Gov.
