In the review titled "Procedural Evolution in Multidistrict Litigation," Erbsen writes Burch and Gluck are advancing MDL literature by "constructing an insightful account of how MDL common law evolves and a thoughtful assessment of the norms that should shape this evolution."

Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Harold D. Melton will deliver the University of Georgia School of Law's 2021 Commencement address May 22 in Stegeman Coliseum, with social distancing measures in place. Approximately 215 students will be eligible to participate in this year's ceremony for Juris Doctor (J.D.), Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Master in the Study of Law (M.S.L) candidates. A free virtual legal clinic for Georgia veterans will happen on Saturday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Veterans in Northwest Georgia can access the clinic in person in Dalton, Georgia. Veterans from other parts of the state can connect by webcam or telephone. The Georgia Veterans Outreach Project offers legal advice on issues important to veterans. These include veterans and military benefits, as well as consumer, family, housing and other civil issues. Veterans must register in advance.
Sibley Professor in Corporate and Business Law Larry D. Thompson has been elected to the American Law Institute's Council, effective June 9, 2021. The council "determines projects and activities to be undertaken by the ALI and approves the work as representing the position of the institute," which is considered "the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and otherwise improve the law."
