Regents' Professor of International Law & Woodruff Chair in International Law Diane Marie Amann was featured in The Wall Street Journal regarding the International Court of Justice's recent ruling relating to Israel-Hamas conflict. The article titled "World Court Rejects Demands for Gaza Cease-Fire" was written by Jess Bravin and published 1/26/24.
University Professor & Kilpatrick Chair of Corporate Finance and Securities Law Usha Rodrigues was featured on Bloomberg Law regarding special purpose acquisition companies. The article titled "SEC Tightens Rules on Already-Ailing US SPAC Market: ECM Watch" was written by Bailey Lipschultz and Lydia Beyoud and was published 1/24/24.
Smith Professor Hillel Y. Levin published "The Contours of Gun Industry Immunity: Separation of Powers, Federalism, and the Second Amendment" in 75 Florida Law Review 833 (2023) (with T.D. Lytton).
Congratulations to Dean & Hosch Professor Emerita Rebecca Hanner White for receiving the University of Georgia President's Medal. The honor recognizes individuals, not currently employed at the university, who have made extraordinary contributions to the UGA community by supporting students and academic programs, advancing research or engaging in public service to enhance the quality of life of citizens in Georgia.
Stembler Family Distinguished Professor in Business Law Christopher M. Bruner presented his working paper "Prospects for a US Value Chain Due Diligence Law" at the "Connecting Responsible Organizations: Legal Strategies for Sustainability in Global Value Chains" conference during January. The conference was hosted by the Tilburg Law School in the Netherlands.
