The Federal Bar Association wants to provide an informal opportunity for law students who have obtained a state or federal judicial clerkship this summer to connect with other law students who have served in similar positions in the past. Here, students are encouraged to exchange valuable insights on their experiences, including strategies for optimizing the clerkship and expectations for the role.
The UGA Law Federalist Society is pleased to host Judges Elizabeth "Lisa" Branch (11th Cir.), Britt Grant (11th Cir.), William "Billy" M. Ray, II (NDGa), and Tilman "Tripp" Self, III (MDGa) for our annual judges panel. We look forward to hearing about their careers and thoughts on the role of a judge in the federal courts. Additionally, this event should be helpful for any students considering clerkships.

The discussion will likely include anti-semitism awareness amidst recent events, religious tolerance, and a brief Q&A. This event is open to all members of the law school community, as it is intended to be educational and raise awareness. Lunch will be provided for those who register on LawDawgDash.
Many people pine for a better life for their family. Others may be fleeing dangerous conditions. There are predators who prey on those dreams and that desperation. There are a number of staffing services that charge exorbitant prices for H2-A sponsorship. They force people to take out loans and put them into a form of indentured servitude. These people are forced to live and work in heinous conditions for little to no pay.
Join Law Republicans for a day at the Capitol on March 15th from 2-4pm! This event will take place inside the Capitol and will give students the opportunity to meet state legislators, Republican National Lawyer Association Members, and Lt. Governor Burt Jones!
This event serves to educate future progressive attorneys on the variety of employment available. On the panel, we will have Janet Hill (UGA JD '82), Russell Edwards (UGA JD '10), Matthew Wilson (UGA JD '14), and The Honorable Judge Donarell Green.
