Biographical Information

Johnathan S. Tonge currently serves as the lead associate in the anti-human trafficking division of Andersen, Tate & Carr. Of note, he filed one of the first civil sex trafficking cases in Georgia history. He also has presented on human trafficking issues to audiences at the Mercer University School of Law and Gwinnett County Legal Aid. Previously, Tonge served as a judicial clerk for Judge Timothy C. Batten Sr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and as an associate at Butler, Wooten & Peak. Tonge earned both his bachelor’s and law degrees from UGA. At Georgia, he served as the executive editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
