Type of work:
This position will be within the Norfolk Southern Law Department and will handle various tasks related to Norfolk Southern legal issues, including legal research, contract review, regulatory analysis, legal writing, trial preparation and client meeting prep and attendance. The position may work with several or all of Norfolk Southern Law Department Sections, which include complex litigation, corporate, environmental, information governance, labor & employment, legal claims, markets & regulation, and risk management.
Note: Primarily telework with some in-person.
Prior coursework or other skills/interests:
The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, solid legal research and writing skills, a desire to work on unique and challenging legal issues, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Flexible, but 16 hours per week required for part-time externs.
