Type of work: Student will be involved in matters primarily relating to corporate and securities law, corporate governance matters, and general corporate transactions. Corporate and securities work will include working with the legal team involved in preparation of the Annual Report on Form 10-K and proxy statement for the annual meeting, February board meeting, section 16 filings, and other filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Corporate transactional work will involve working with the legal team involved in mergers & acquisitions, investment transactions, airline alliances, and joint ventures. Student may have possible exposure to other practice areas, including compliance, finance, commercial contracts, real estate, employee benefits, and litigation.
Note: Vaccines will be mandated. Externship will likely be in-person but some virtual work may be allowed.
