Athens / Clarke County Magistrate Court

Students provide research and writing for judges of the Athens / Clarke County Magistrate Court. Students will gain exposure to trials, preliminary hearings, and bond hearings through observation, drafting, and discussion with the judges. Students will gain full exposure to the workings of a Georgia Magistrate, and will gain insight into the decision-making processes of trial courts in contested cases. Applicants should be dedicated to meeting deadlines, efficienct in delivering research, and have demonstrated maturity and commitment to work.
