R. Charles Henn Jr. currently serves as partner at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, where he concentrates in the area of intellectual property litigation. He regularly represents sports leagues and teams as well as other companies in cases involving trademark and trade dress infringement claims. Of note, he was co-lead trial counsel for Adidas America and Adidas-Salomon AG in trademark infringement litigation against Payless Shoesource. The jury found unanimously in Adidas’ favor on all seven claims in the case, leading to one of the largest verdicts in history for a trademark infringement case. Henn is nationally recognized. He was selected by LawyersUSA as one of six “Lawyers of the Year” in 2008. Additionally, Chambers USA routinely lists him as a leading intellectual property litigator, and the publication has named him as one of the nation’s top sports lawyers. Henn earned his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Emory University and his law degree cum laude from the University of North Carolina.
