The modern information society is governed by a central tension between drives to promote transparency and open access to information, and a concomitant need to safeguard privacy and personal dignity. This series explores different issues within that dynamic, featuring leading speakers from academia, civil society and government, who have made unique contributions to how information is shared, protected and regulated.
The panel will feature UGA School of Law's Asst. Professor Thomas Kadri as well as Eugene Volokh, UCLA School of Law; Amy Gajda, Tulane Law School; and Mark Verstraete, UCLA Institute for Technology, Law & Policy (moderator).
The series, which is organized by the UCLA Institute for Technology Law & Policy and the Ziffren Institute for Media, Entertainment, Technology and Sports Law, will take place via zoom, and is free to all.
