Each year, we offer a voluntary summer program that begins before orientation and is designed to enhance the academic success of students whose past experience may indicate that some additional preparation might be beneficial to their transition to the rigors of law school.
The purpose of the Summer Academic Success Program is to familiarize students with legal analysis and legal writing as well as to help students acclimate themselves to campus and the many resources that it offers. During the program, students will learn substantive information about the law, our legal system and the process involved in the successful study of law. Through daily writing assignments based on readings and lectures, students will begin to develop the legal analysis and writing skills that are the foundation for success in law school. Likewise, the program will expose students to professional and academic development tools and various extracurricular opportunities offered at the School of Law.
No tuition will be charged and all course materials will be provided.
