Each year, we offer a voluntary summer program that begins before orientation and is designed to enhance the academic success of students whose past experience may indicate that some additional preparation might be beneficial to their transition to the rigors of law school.

No tuition will be charged and all course materials will be provided.

The Psychology of Persuasion in International Arbitration

The School of Law is proud to co-host this year’s Atlanta International Arbitration Society (AtlAS) annual lecture, featuring speaker R. Doak Bishop, Partner in the International Arbitration practice at King & Spalding in Atlanta.

This event will take place in the Walker Room of Rusk Hall. A networking reception with AtlAS members will immediately follow the lecture.

Master in the Study of Law at UGA Informational Webinar

The University of Georgia School of Law invites you to attend a Master in the Study of Law (M.S.L.) at the University of Georgia Informational Webinar. The webinar will be on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 12:00 PM ET. This is an informational webinar for prospective applicants to the Master in the Study of Law degree. You will be able to ask any questions you might have during the webinar, but you can also provide questions on the registration form to make sure your questions are answered during the session.

Hines Jurist in Residence Lecture with Justice Verda Colvin

The Hines Jurist in Residence Lecture will be delivered by Georgia Supreme Court Justice Verda Colvin (J.D.'90). Her talk is titled "Leadership in the 21st Century and Beyond: Where are the lawyers?" As a School of Law graduate herself, Justice Colvin will challenge our community to think nationally and globally about our place in our world as lawyers and our obligation to the greater good. 

A reception will follow the lecture.

UGA Black Pre-Law Student Association Information Session

The Info Session will be followed by an optional School of Law Tour.

Virtual Prospective Student Information Session

The University of Georgia School of Law cordially invites prospective students to attend a Virtual Information Session on November 8, 2022 from 5:00-6:30 PM ET. Speak directly with admissions directors and learn more about the application process, scholarship opportunities, student involvement and the culture of the UGA Law community. Participants in this information session will also learn how to receive an application fee waiver from the Office of Admissions.

In-Person Open House for Admitted Students

The University of Georgia School of Law invites you to attend an Open House event for Admitted Students. Please join us for the opportunity to engage with the law school community and other admitted students to learn more about experiential learning opportunities, advocacy programs, career development, and other law school resources.

The Office of Admissions will reduce attendees’ first seat deposit to $50.00 for admitted students who have not already paid their commitment deposit.
