Carol E. Morgan Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to provide an award(s) for an outstanding student(s) who has participated in the Business Law and Ethics Program at the School of Law ("School"), which may include but is not limited to, practice-based courses, experiential learning, externships and clinical experiences, and the negotiation competition team. Recipients will be selected by a committee appointed by the Dean of the School.

William King Meadow Award

William King Meadow Award - 

The purpose of the Fund is to provide an annual cash award in honor of William King Meadow to a graduating student who plans to practice law and who best exemplifies the integrity, sense of responsibility, and high standards of the legal profession and who as well has a keen sense of humor necessary to afford a proper human perspective to the resolution of legal problems. 

Julian B. McDonnell Prize Fund

Julian B. McDonnell Prize Fund - 

The purpose of the Fund is to provide an annual award to an outstanding student in the Field of Commercial Law within the School of Law. 

Julian B. McDonnell (U.Va., LL.B. ’66) was born in Mobile, Alabama. He graduated from Spring Hill College in Mobile and the University of Virginia School of Law. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, including a non-combat assignment on the corp-level staff in Vietnam.

Ellen R. Jordan Fund for Public Interest Law

Ellen R. Jordan Fund for Public Interest Law - 

The purpose of the Fund is to support and enhance the study of Public Interest Law at the University of Georgia School of Law. It will provide an annual Award (the Ellen R. Jordan Public Interest Law Award) to the rising or past graduate of the Law School, who has best demonstrated both exceptional accomplishment in and commitment to public interest law. Recipient(s) will receive an Award in recognition of their public interest activities.

Kerry Harike Joedecke Memorial Award for Excellence

Kerry Harike Joedecke Memorial Award for Excellence - 

The purpose of the Fund is to provide an award to a member of the Moot Court Board within the School of Law. The recipient shall be a third-year law student who has made the greatest overall contribution to both the Moot Court Program and Law School community through unselfish service, academic achievement and strength of character.

Ann Bryan Downs Loan Repayment Assistance Program

Ann Bryan Downs Loan Repayment Assistance Program -

The purpose of the Fund is provide funding for the Loan Repayment Assistance Program. The assistance shall be in the form of annual awards to graduates of the School of Law who obtain employment in the field of public interest law and who need assistance in repaying loans for legal educations. Recent graduates must apply to be considered for the annual support. 

Donald P. Gilmore, Jr. Memorial Award Fund

Donald P. Gilmore, Jr. Memorial Award Fund - 

The primary purpose of the Fund is to recognize excellence in the study of labor and employment law by students at the University of Georgia School of Law. A cash prize will be awarded to a student or students who demonstrate, through their enrollment in and outstanding performance in the Law School's Labor and Employment Law curriculum, superior potential as a practitioner or scholar in the field of Labor and Employment Law.
