Paul M. Kurtz Distinguished Law Fellowship Fund
The Kurtz Distinguished Law Fellowship is a merit-based fellowship awarded with preference given to students with superior academic records who have a demonstrated passion for supporting survivors of child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Chester C. Davenport Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to support educational diversity at the University of Georgia School of Law in honor of the Chester C. Davenport. The scholarship is limited to students who will contribute significantly to the diversity of the student body, including because they have overcome significant disadvantage or hardship, because they have a close familiarity with prejudice and poverty, because they have demonstrably encountered these conditions, or members of groups historically underrepresented in law school and the practice of law.
Chester C. Davenport Memorial Endowment
The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarships, fellowships, and distinguished law fellowships to students within the School of Law. Preference will be given to graduates of Georgia-based historically Black colleges and universities and to those who demonstrate characteristics consistent with Chester C. Davenport’s legacy, including, but not limited to, academic excellence, courage, determination, and a trailblazing spirit.
Tara Baker Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship support in the School of Law. The scholarship amount(s) and recipient(s) shall be selected by the Dean of the School or a committee of Tara's classmates and friends appointed by the Dean. Preference may be given to women, Georgia residents, second-year students (eligible to renew the scholarship in their third year), and/or those who have demonstrated an interest in a legal career in criminal prosecution.
Justice Robert Benham Scholars Program Fund
The Justice Robert Benham Scholars Program Fund was created to attract and support diverse students who might think law school is beyond their reach, particularly those who have overcome significant adversity and demonstrated an intent to return to and serve rural or legally underserved communities.
