Student Scholarship

Scates Family Endowment-

The purpose of this Fund is to provide scholarship support for students at the School of Law. Preference may be given to those who have earned at least one degree from the University of Georgia before entering law school and/or those who are married and/or have children/dependents.

David E. Shipley Scholarship Fund-

The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support for a well-rounded student(s) enrolled at the University of Georgia School of Law who were involved in campus as undergraduates, including, but not limited to, student government, debate, student judiciary, Greek Life, athletics (following current guidelines), and leadership organizations.

Dan T. Coenen Scholarship Fund-

The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support for a student at the School of Law. Preference may be given for those who demonstrate the following:

• Those who practice corporate/business law in Georgia.
• Students who previously attended Historically Black colleges and universities.

Andy and Janice Davis Family Scholarship Fund-

The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support for students at the School of Law. Preference may be given to the following:

• Those who have participated in the Scouts BSA and/or Girl Scouts.
• Those who are or have been residents of Northwest Georgia.

Polsinelli Simmons Family Scholarship Fund-

The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support for a student(s) enrolled in the School of Law who is committed to furthering the advancement of women in law.

Eric L. Roden Civil Justice Scholarship Fund-

The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support in the School of Law for a student(s) who has an interest in oral advocacy and the pursuit and defense of civil justice. Consideration will also include a demonstrated history of community service, volunteerism, and the pursuit of positive community change. 

The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support, consistent with the mission and admissions policy of the University of Georgia School of Law, to benefit first-generation college graduates who are Georgia residents. Considerations will be given to those who have overcome significant disadvantage or hardship 

The purpose of the Fund is to provide support for Georgia leader(s)-in-residence, scholarship recipient(s), and semester or summer fellowship(s) in honor of Representative David E. Ralston (JD ’80), former Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives.
