Biographical Information

Jocelyn Crumpton (she/her) is a licensed master social worker in the University of Georgia School of Law Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation Clinic. The clinic is the first of its kind in the nation, representing survivors of child sexual abuse and exploitation in civil litigation, juvenile court dependency and post-conviction relief matters. At the Wilbanks CEASE Clinic, she works interdisciplinarily with the attorneys to provide quality, trauma-informed representation to clients. She is passionate about ending gender-based violence and advocating for the needs of all survivors.

Previously, Crumpton worked at the Athens Area Homeless Shelter, providing housing interventions for families experiencing housing instability. While at AAHS, she developed and implemented an educationally focused transitional housing program for parents seeking higher education to increase income-earning potential. She also served as an on-call accompaniment advocate for The Cottage Sexual Assault and Children’s Advocacy Center, where she assisted sexual assault survivors by providing crisis intervention services, including medical advocacy, legal advocacy, counseling, referrals and support to secondary survivors, while connecting individuals and families to the services.

Outside of the Wilbanks CEASE Clinic, Crumpton is the financial aid coordinator for Ulead Athens and serves on the Public Safety Civilian Oversight Board in Athens-Clarke County.
