Abby Vorhees joined the First Amendment Clinic at the University of Georgia School of Law as a legal fellow in May 2026. She previously worked as a law clerk with the Targowski Law Office, assisting in criminal defense in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She was also a Hellman Litigation Fellow with the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression.
Vorhees graduated cum laude from the American University Washington College of Law in May 2025. While in law school, she earned the highest grade distinction in her Immigration, Race, and the Constitution seminar. She was a member of the American University Law Review, which published her comment on the intersection between immigration status and the Second Amendment. Additionally, Abby served as a Teaching Fellow with the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project, where she taught a constitutional law class at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Washington, D.C.
She earned her B.A. in Political Science magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina Honors College. She is a member of the D.C. Bar.
