Congratulations to third-year students Elizabeth N. Burns, Taylor N. Hoying and Antavious L. McCarden who won the National Moot Court Competition regional tournament held this past weekend in Atlanta. Burns was named the best oralist for both the final round and the preliminary round of competition. They will represent UGA at the national tier of this tournament in New York City during January. The team was coached by Adjunct Professor Cole M. Harper and alumna Casey E. Wofford (J.D.’25).
The National Moot Court Competition is co-sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers and the New York City Bar Association. More than 150 accredited law schools annually participate in this prestigious competition involving more than 1,000 students.
