Biographical Information

Operating his own law firm for nearly 20 years, James T. Simmons’ practice focused on corporate formations and transactions, commercial litigation, debt collections, domestic relations, criminal law and appellate practice. Simmons previously served as an associate in the Law Offices of Geno T. Zayid and the Kemp Klein Law Firm. Most recently, he worked at Quimbee as a staff author, researching court cases and writing scripts for legal education videos and courses. He has also served as a visiting lecturer at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign teaching in the area of constitutional law. Simmons earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his law degree from Wayne State University.
