For the 10th consecutive year, University of Georgia School of Law graduates have led the state in the Georgia bar exam passage rate. Law school graduates who sat for the July 2023 exam posted the highest rate for first-time takers among all of the state’s law schools – and more than 14 percent ahead of the overall first-time pass rate.
“The UGA School of Law is redefining what it means to be a great national public law school, and our 10-year record of leading all Peach State law schools with the highest first-time Georgia bar exam passage rate is just one proof point of the high-quality legal education our graduates receive in Athens,” Dean Peter B. “Bo” Rutledge said. “We are extremely proud of the 93-plus percent of our students who were successful on their first attempt and remain committed to ensuring all of our students achieve future success. In pursuit of that goal and with thanks to the generous support of our alumni and alumnae, we will continue to offer bar stipends and assistance through our BEST (Bar Exam Success Team) program.”
