Type of work: Student will be engaged in the following:

• Privacy:
  • Data privacy regulatory updates (US & Global) with analysis on product, security, and compliance program impact; develop and maintain tracker of pending regulations
  • Ongoing review & assessment of DPA decisions/regulatory action in data privacy and potential impact of such decisions on internal operations
  • Development of internal guidance and dos/don’t’s for the sales team, product teams, and other members of the legal function
  • Development of external guidance for customers to be published on Sprinklr’s trust center
  • Providing support with customer contracts, including reviewing data protection agreements, and customer due diligence on privacy
  • Assessing and developing RFIs for vendors and/or subprocessors based on geography, type of data processed
  • Researching and developing internal guidance on privacy by design strategy
• Employment:
  • Researching discrete employment law issues with global applicability
  • Researching and developing internal guidance for internal Culture & Talent team
• Compliance Program:
  • Enterprise risk management foundations
  • Assisting in development of internal training materials and/or videos
• Other Regulatory:
  • Sanctions diligence

Notes:

• Virtual externship (with some in-person interaction with Atlanta-based attorney in Atlanta and/or Athens)
• COVID-19 vaccinations are required for face-to-face interactions with Sprinklr employees.
• Full-time externs (32 hours per week) are preferred.

Prior coursework or skills: Interest in data privacy, technology, privacy by design, and global privacy matters is desirable. Students with foundational knowledge of privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA will be better able to assist in higher level projects and customer-facing matters.
