The American Psychological Association has found that mindfulness is especially effective for reducing stress, anxiety, and depression and that mindfulness can improve physical health. The Law Library offers a four-session mindfulness workshop to teach you the basics of this free, easy, and effective stress-relieving activity. Heather Simmons, the Law Library’s Associate Director for Instruction and Access Services, is a certified Koru Mindfulness Teacher and hosts our four-week workshop each semester. During Wellness Week, join Heather for a 20-minute introductory session, in which Heather will explain mindfulness, answer any questions, and take you through a brief mindfulness exercise.
Monday Koru Sessions will be in room 122, classroom B.
Tuesday Koru Session will be in room 120, classroom A.
