Stacey Hornsby Williams

An experienced attorney, mediator and arbitrator, Professor Stacey Hornsby Williams has been an ADR specialist for more than 17 years, and she has settled more than 1,000 disputes covering a wide range of issues.

She currently serves as the senior deputy attorney general for the Tobacco Enforcement Unit in the Tax Law Division of the Office of the Nevada Attorney General. She is the former director of Lemon Law administration and dispute resolution for the Consumer Protection Division of the Georgia Office of the Attorney General. Prior to joining the Georgia AG’s office, she served as a Lemon Law arbitrator for the Governor’s Office of Consumer Protection.

Hornsby Williams has taught general civil mediation and alternative dispute resolution courses as an adjunct professor at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School as well as for ADR Atlanta and the Georgia Office of the Attorney General since 2016. She has been a featured speaker and instructor for the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and has served as chair of the GODR’s Annual ADR Institute.  

She is a registered neutral and approved trainer with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and is a past chair of the Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of Georgia. Additionally, she is a FINRA arbitrator and a founding partner and panel member of ADR Atlanta.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Spelman College and her law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law.
