Since the 1930s, the University of Georgia has set aside a special time each year to recognize the achievements of its students, faculty, staff and alumni. That tradition is known as Honors Week.
Even during difficult times such as these, it is important to celebrate individuals who are helping UGA fulfill its mission through their unyielding pursuit of excellence. This year's honorees include the law school's Associate Dean for Clinical Programs and Experiential Learning Eleanor Crosby Lanier with a Hill Award for Distinguished Achievement in Public Service and Outreach and alumnus Peter Shedd (J.D.'77), a UGA Terry College of Business emeritus professor of legal studies, with the 2020 Faculty Service Award.
