Summer public interest and judicial fellowships provide life-directing, hands-on and purpose-driven experiences for law students.

Gordon Wayne, who is scheduled to enroll in the School of Law in August 2023, was featured on WGAU Radio regarding his 500+ mile walk from Caroline County, Virginia, to Athens, Georgia, to raise money and awareness to fight against homelessness.

The Community Health Law Partnership Clinic successfully settled ALCEDO CIUDAD et al v.

During April, Assistant Dean for Career Development Tony Waller became the president of NALP (the National Association for Law Placement), an international association of over 3,000 legal career professionals who advise law students, lawyers, law offices and law schools.

The Veterans Legal Clinic has successfully helped two women obtain benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. In one case, the clinic helped a woman veteran who lived for years with post-traumatic stress disorder resulting from a military sexual trauma: a rape by another service member.

Congratulations to third-year student Ellen T. "Ellie" Williams for her selection for the Equal Justice Works Regional Public Interest Award for the South Region.
