100% of first-gen college graduates receive aid
With more than 60 first-generation college graduates currently earning their J.D. at the School of Law, we are pleased to share that 100% of them are receiving aid.

The University of Georgia School of Law participated in a pop-up legal clinic during October in Troup County that offered free civil legal advice and referrals to residents.
The School of Law was featured in the Daily Report regarding its graduates leading the state for the tenth straight year in Georgia bar exam passage rates for first-time takers for the July/post-graduation sitting. The article was written by Everett Catts and published 10/20/23.

Another group of incredibly talented students from around the world enrolled at the University of Georgia School of Law for the 2023-24 academic year.
The School of Law is pleased to share that once again 100% of the first-generation college graduates and military veterans enrolled in its Juris Doctor program are receiving aid.
Ninety-four percent of the members of the Class of 2023 participated in at least one clinic or externship while earning their Juris Doctors. The School of Law currently offers 11 in-house clinics and 7 externship programs for students to engage with real-world clients, cases and communities.
Steffney R. Thompson, who joined the faculty in the spring, will lead the School of Law's new Land Conservation Clinic (a refocused version of the Environmental Practicum).
The 2022-23 advocacy season was a great success with the School of Law capturing three national titles – the Hunton Andrews Kurth Moot Court National Championship, the LL.M.
