"The 2021 U.S. News & World Report rankings show that the University of Georgia School of Law continues to be among the best law schools in the country, and they support the fact that the School of Law is succeeding in its mission of preparing future lawyers to become leaders for state and society," University of Georgia School of Law Dean Peter B. "Bo" Rutledge said.
"Over the past six years, the School of Law has posted the highest Georgia bar examination passage rate for first-time test takers for the July sitting, and approximately 95% of our graduates who sat for the bar passed the exam within one year of graduation. Additionally, for the last two years, more than 90% of our alums have been employed in full-time, long-term 'gold standard' jobs within 10 months of graduation," he said.
"We also have focused on reducing the aggregate annual indebtedness of our students by more than $5 million over six years, and these efforts have led to the School of Law being named the #1 best value in legal education in the country for two years in a row. This recognition speaks volumes to our relentless pursuit to be the nation's very best return on investment in legal education," he added.
