Bool Simkins Summer Fellowship for Public Interest Fund

Created by married 2010 graduates Kevin Murphy and Elizabeth (Freeman) Murphy – in honor of Elizabeth’s grandmother, Annie Bool, and great aunt, Mary Simkins – the Bool Simkins Summer Fellowship will be the law school’s largest annual public interest fellowship award. It will support a top performing student with a full summer public interest/pro bono placement after completing his or her second year of law school.

Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation (CEASE) Clinic Fund -

The purpose of the Fund is to provide support of the Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation (CEASE) Clinic at the School of Law to address issues of child sexual abuse and exploitation, including employment of a director of the clinic to work with law students and to manage civil litigation on behalf of victims.

The purpose of the Fund is to provide support for University of Georgia law students that compete and participate in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot held annually in Vienna, Austria.

Edward D. and Carol J. Spurgeon Public Service Fellowship

Edward D. and Carol J. Spurgeon Public Service Fellowship - 

The purpose of the Fund is to provide a fellowship(s) to a student(s) who has completed his or her first or second year in the School of Law and is working in a low paying or non-paying public service summer employment, excluding typical summer clerkships with federal, state, or local government agencies. The Fellowship will be given to a different student each year. 

School of Law Student Support Fund

School of Law Student Support Fund - 

The purpose of the Fund is to provide support for students in the School of Law. Support shall include, but not be limited to, scholarships, fellowships (summer, post-grad, semester, and distinguished law), travel, stipends, awards, bar exam prep, and any other related expenses as deemed appropriate by the Dean of the School.
