Biographical Information

William H. "Bill" Brewster is a partner with Kilpatrick Thompson, where he specializes in trademark, false advertising and unfair competition litigation. Widely recognized as a top intellectual property litigator, he served as lead trial counsel in the 2009 case Adidas v. Payless, obtaining the largest jury verdict and the largest judgement ever entered in a trademark case. He serves on Kilpatrick Thompson's Pro Bono Committee, and he received the inaugural Intellectual Property Community Service Award from the State Bar of Georgia, recognizing his work as the board chair of Special Olympics Georgia.

Brewster has served as an adjunct professor of law at Emory University School of Law and the University of Virginia School of Law.

He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Emory University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia. He is a member of the state bars of New York and Georgia.
