Judson H. Turner is currently a partner with Gilbert, Harrell, Sumerford & Martin, with a focus on environmental permitting and compliance, regulatory advocacy, public policy development and government relations. His public service includes serving as a special assistant attorney general, director of the Governor’s Office of Interagency Coordination and Management of Water Resources in Georgia, director of the Environmental Protection Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, special executive counsel to former Georgia Governors Sonny Perdue and Nathan Deal, and general counsel for the Georgia Department of Education. He has previously served as a part-time instructor for UGA’s School of Law and School of Policy and International Affairs, as well as an adjunct professor at the Albany State University Georgia Water Planning and Policy Center.
Turner earned his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from UGA and his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law.
