Ward Evans joined the University of Georgia School of Law’s First Amendment Clinic as the Georgia journalism attorney in 2025. Before joining the clinic, Ward served as a judicial clerk for Superior Court Chief Judge Chris Phelps of the Northern Judicial Circuit and worked as an associate at the law firm Johnson Marlowe in Athens.
He graduated cum laude from the UGA School of Law in 2022 where he served on the managing board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law, mediated disputes through the Mediation Clinic and externed at the legal office of Northeast Georgia Health System. His bachelor’s degrees in history and political science were earned summa cum laude from UGA in 2017.
