Marvin Devereaux Scholarship-

The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support for students at the School of Law (“School”). Selection will be determined based on the following in the order presented:

  • Those who have had an academic epiphany, which may occur while a student is or is not enrolled in college, demonstrated by a dramatic change of academic performance for at least two academic years;
  • Those with demonstrated drive, self-discipline, and self-sufficiency evidenced by paying for all or a significant part of their undergraduate schooling, including earned academic benefits such as the GI Bill or other employer-provided assistance;
  • Those who have received an honorable discharge from a branch of the United States armed services.

All other factors being equal, some preference may be given to first-generation college graduates and those who express an intent to return to and serve legally underserved or smaller communities (e.g., metropolitan areas of less than 150,000 per recent census). Recipients will be selected by a committee appointed
