The Threat of Voter Suppression in Georgia
Please join UGA Law's ACS Chapter and the ACS Athens Lawyer Chapter for a state-specific training for ACS members that covers the history of voter suppression, what voter suppression looks like today, and how ACS members can fight for voting rights with advocacy tactics to ensure greater access to voting in the time of COVID-19 and racial injustice. The training will be provided by All Voting is Local's GA Campaign Manager (and triple Dawg!), Stephanie Jackson Ali.

Come celebrate National Voter Registration Day with UGA Law ACS by registering to vote or requesting an absentee ballot between 12pm-2pm. National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday celebrating our democracy. First observed in 2012, it has quickly gained momentum ever since. Nearly 3 million voters have registered to vote on the holiday to date. Celebrated on the fourth Tuesday of September, National Voter Registration Day will take place on September 22, 2020.

UGA Blood Drive - Battle with Auburn University
The UGA community will be in a contest with Auburn University in today's blood drive to see which university's members will donate the most number of pints. The drive is open to the entire UGA community with t-shirts and insomnia cookies being given out to participants.
