Game Night!

Join some of your favorites from the Law Library and Student Affairs as we host Game Night on Thursday 4/22 at 4:30pm until ? Take your mind off exams for a little bit the night before the last day of class to channel your competitive energy into beating us at our favorite virtual games. Separate Zoom rooms will be offered for games such as Jackbox games (Trivia Murder Party, Joke Boat, etc.), virtual chess, and Among Us. Join us October 22 for trivia night! International Law Society will be hosting a virtual trivia night for members and non-mebers alike to come hang out, have some fun, and win some prizes. William Elliott Stiles New Commission Unveiling

William Elliott Stiles Jr. - an accomplished artist, Atlanta attorney and University of Georgia School of Law alumnus - will unveil a new work of art that was commissioned by the law school to commemorate the 60th anniversary of desegregation at UGA. The new creation will be displayed alongside other pieces of Stiles' "Concept Collection" that were donated to the school in 2018.

Stiles said in his new piece, titled "1961," he tried to depict the historic events of the desegregation of the University of Georgia and the Georgia public school system.

Holmes-Hunter Lecture by Justice Benham

Justice Robert Benham (J.D.'70), the longest serving and first African American member of the Supreme Court of Georgia, will present UGA's 2020 Holmes-Hunter Lecture Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel.

Named in honor of Charlayne Hunter-Gault and Hamilton Holmes, the first African American students to attend UGA, the lecture is sponsored by the Office of the President and focuses on race relations, civil rights and education. It has been held annually since 1985.
