Orkun Akseli, Professor of Commerical Law at the University of Manchester Law School, is currently a Fulbright Scholar at Elon University Law School.

Professor Akseli studied for his LLB at Dokuz Eylul University Law Faculty, Izmir, Turkey. He obtained his LL.M. from the University of Georgia Law School, USA; MA from Istanbul Bilgi University Law Faculty and PhD from the University of Manchester Law School. Before embarking on academic life he practiced insurance defence and commercial litigation in Izmir. He is a member of Turkish Bar.

The School of Law will host a cocktail reception honoring the members of the Class of 2022 on Friday evening, May 20, 2022 at 6pm. Complimentary, non-transferrable admission provided for each graduate and one guest. Additional admissions may be purchased for $10 each. Preregistration is required.

Hey Law Dawgs!

It’s that time again–Food Frenzy is back and UGA Law is in it to win it! Food Frenzy is a fundraising competition hosted by the Georgia Attorney General where law schools compete to see which can raise the most money for their local food bank. UGA Law raised more than $15,000 to fight hunger in our community last year, narrowly losing to Mercer Law. This year we're taking #1 back! We need everyone’s help to accomplish our goal, so here are some important things to note:
