Faculty Events

A Constitution Day lecture - in celebration of the day representatives to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia completed and signed the U.S. Constitution - will feature Sanford V. Levinson, Professor of Government and Garwood Centennial Chair in Law at the University of Texas Law School. The title of his presentation is “Reflections of a Would-Be Framer.”

This lecture is hosted by the UGA School of Public and International Affairs and sponsored by the School of Law. 

Join the Hispanic Law Students Association as we kick off the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month with a panel of Latino/a legal professions to discuss the roles of Latinos in the Georgia legal market.

As part of our Well-Being Week programming, the law school will be sponsoring a Mental Health First Aid training for law school students, faculty, and staff on Monday, October 10 & Tuesday, October 11. This 8-hour course will be delivered in two sessions from 4:30pm-9:00pm each evening. Dinner will be provided, and participants must attend both sessions. There is no cost to attend and space is limited. An RSVP link will be emailed to the law school community. 

Welcome back law dawgs! Come join us for an evening of food and fun with your fellow law school community members. Dinner and drinks will be provided. This is a great opportunity to get to know and reconnect with your classmates and professors. There will also be an opportunity to purchase brand new law school merchandise.
