UGA EITS will conduct network maintenance that will result in periodic, intermittent outages of campus Internet access and campus information systems on Saturday, October 24. In response to the horrific shootings that unfolded in Metro-Atlanta recently, ALSA is hosting a panel to discuss and explore the topics pertaining to AAPI discrimination and hate crimes. We have invited Professor Usha Rodrigues, Mr. Tim Lee (King and Spalding), Dean Gregory Roseboro, and Mrs. Joanne Molinaro (Foley & Lardner LLP) as panelist to share some of their insight and perspective.
Bertis Downs: Bertis Downs lives in Athens, Georgia, where he received his law degree in 1981 from the University of Georgia's School of Law. He represented the band R.E.M. throughout the band's career and has remained an advisor to their various endeavors since disbandment. In 1988 Downs originated the Entertainment Law course at the University School of Law. Since then, he has regularly nourished his interest in teaching by speaking at various continuing legal education, law schools and music industry conferences.
